As the Ensign scandal gets bigger and bigger, thanks to his mistress' blackmailing husband, who frankly comes off as just as big a hypocritical nutjob as Ensign, a new light is shining on this "family."
Jesus + nothing, a totalitarian "version" of Christianity... unbelievable that we have U.S. senators subscribing to this.
American power and to hell with the poor is these peoples' true belief - and that they deserve the power they have - and also deserve MORE. They believe the are chosen by god for leadership - so anything they do is RIGHT.
Pretty mind-blowing stuff.

There is a book out about this group and it just hit in paperback. I heard about it on Amy Goodman's show. It's called, 'The Family.'
I find it completely chilling, and it means many of my tinfoil hat theories may not be so "tinfoil" after all. Especially chilling was the line about them being OK with any crime - even pedophilia - because they are the "chosen" ones.

I saw that on Rachel Maddow's show last night and it made my stomach turn. Get this--there are branches of this White Boy Haters group all over the U.S.
I actually came in contact with the leader of one at my last job. My narcissistic, Ponzi scheme-running ex-boss invited the guy to the office, hoping to shake him down for some investment money.
The guy gave each of us a 30-page manifesto about Christianity and business, and I promptly tossed it in the trash after reading maybe three paragraphs.
However, the guy took a liking to a male friend of mine who worked there and invited him to a meeting for potential new members.
My friend told me the guy spoke like a rabid zealot, calling the president an "Obamanation" and insisting that only white Christian men should be running the country and all the businesses in the U.S. They were The Chosen Ones.
My friend got so pissed he told the guy off, told him he was nuts and stomped out before the meeting ended.
I wish I could recall the guy's name, I'd call the FBI and turn him in as a domestic terrorist.
P.S. This C Street group sounds like a bunch of political scam artists and perverts who use their secret society as a get out of jail free card.
Ensign is a Pentecostal (AKA wacko snake handlers)yet his daddy owns Mandalay Bay casino in Vegas. How handy it must be for them to have a U.S. Senator in their pocket.

Were Sanford a member of my church, he would be asked to leave by means of a letter signed by the Bishop. Should he show up at the Church again, he would be assisted out with the help of a Sheriff's Deputy. He would be allowed back in if and only if he accepted certain humiliating penalties, such as penance, and being required to stand in a special place in the church reserved for penitents. If he doesn't like what is meeted out to him, he can become a Protestant. Having said that, even the penitants can achieve sainthood, as did St. Mary of Egypt.
The question that remains for you is, what are your standards, and what do you intend to do to enforce them?

Rasmussen is a worthless, inaccurate rightwing poll that is always several points out of touch with the rest of the polls. The reason for this is elementary: they simply poll a greater number of neo-con scum. The poll cited above is 7-9 percentage points low in Obama approval ratings as compared to the more reliable mainstream polls.
As for the poll about whether the Country is headed in the right direction, would you like to compare that number to the one taken in the waning days of Bush's illegal presidency? I think not. It takes a long time to clean up the epic, generational disaster that you America-hating, neo-con filth have wrought upon this Country.
Healthcare problem: Reality has met rhetoric. The Main Stream Corporate Conservative Media (MSCCM) is desperate to kill healthcare reform because they are on the same corporate team as the vampires in the health insurance industry. They stroke each other's genitalia as 14,000 more Americans lose their health insurance each day. The MSCCM has been on a crusade to kill healthcare reform. Perhaps over 100 million Americans will have to become uninsured in order to finally start ignoring the GOP fear and smear tactics. In the meantime, I hope as many neo-cons as possible die as a result of lack of healthcare access. I'm a big fan of poetic justice.

Obama will use the FDR model, which FDR discovered after ten years of hard feverish work to end the Great Depression. All he has to do is to provoke a war, and not just any war, like FDR did. In 1942, just after provoking a war with pusillanimous forign policy and by intransigant negotiation with Japan, Japan & Germany declared war, which resulted in Economic Recovery and the taking out a couple of Evil Dictators. Of course, a fullscale war nowadays means the use of Nukes, with the blessings of Nuclear Winter.
It is clear that the wise Obama has planned something with North Korea or Iran, or both. He just needs the right moment to put his FDR-inspired plan into action.
